Criminal Minds, S1E8 (quote)

A deep quote from Ernest Hemingway. It fits every era of human existence. Humans have always been killing their fellow beings, regardless of who is right or wrong, just or unjust, good or bad, has right evidence or concocted evidence; once, a human gets a taste of the human blood, it never goes away.

It's due to the feeling of having power over another person's life that gives human a rush & craving for more death & killings. Killing of man becomes an enjoyable game to many who do it frequently.

Leaders, from ancient to current times, have always come up with reasons to attack & kill other humans; be it saving your government seat (dictators), or showing others that they have military might (Saudi coalition attacking Yemen, American coalition taking actions all over the world where it deems necessary), or trying to take powers from others (coups, warring factions / tribes), or over the control of resources (water, oil, rare minerals etc.).

Military field personnel who retire / discharge never actually retire, nowadays. This specially happens in militaries that are active in the world (involve in wars). As we read in news stories after news stories, many either join private security firms (Academi, DynCorp, RSB Group, Aegis, G4S etc.), or try to integrate themselves in civilian life with a lot of difficulty. Some of those who try to integrate in civilian life developed PTSD & eventually become a risk to themselves & their loves ones. Ultimately, they long for the action in the field, & always need more action or that excitement of "hunting of man".
