Hector and the Search for Happiness, Quote 3
We have to go through hardships & unhappiness to see what happiness really is. At the same time, sometimes, we also need to face or make undesirable choices; the choices, which we know, beforehand, will make us unhappy at that moment, but it is better to face that unhappy or undesirable moment than to keep suffering, while keep a "happy" facade on our faces.

Hector and the Search for Happiness, Quote 2
Sometimes, in life, it's indeed better to not know the whole story, because then, you lose all hope, & become hopeless & bitter in your attitude. You might even become pessimist. Even if we are suffering from a bad situation, we still hope for the best & pray for the good times to come. Sometimes, not knowing the whole story, helps us enjoy & appreciate the present moment. Perhaps, that's why, God kept some important information away from us, like, our time of death.

Criminal Minds, S1E21 Quote 1
No human or a person can ever claim that he / she has complete knowledge or truth, since no human can ever gain complete knowledge or know exact truth. Only Allah or God or Yahweh or Bhagwan or whatever other name you have for a Supreme Being can ever claim or say that because only It knows the what the real truth is.
Allah revealed that truth in Quran & whoever reads it, without any biases or presumptions, & with an open mind, starts to see the real truth & gain that knowledge, which will benefit him / her the most in this mortal life & in the immortal life in the hereafter.

Criminal Minds, S1E20 Quote
This is quite common in the immigrant community in the West. Regardless of whether the host country think of itself as a melting pot (e.g. USA) or a mosaic (e.g. Canada, Australia, UK etc.), immigrants eventually forget their roots & take on the cultures & traditions of the host countries. First generation of the immigrants are usually far more resistant to this change, but their generations after them start "disguising" them to fit better in the societies of the host countries, & eventually, lose themselves in the process.
One common example is celebrating Christmas & New Year's. Everyone, from a Muslim to a Hindu to a Jew to a Buddhist to a Sikh to even an Atheist celebrate Christmas & New Year's in the West. Heck, they even celebrate or actively take part in Easter & Halloween. Of course, all these holidays do have religious backgrounds in Christianity but people of other religions start taking part in these cultural & religious celebrations because they want to fit better & be seen as a part of their host countries. In the process, they & their subsequent generations forget their own religions, roots, cultures, & traditions.

Hector & the Search for Happiness, Quote 1
Similar to the advice Muslims have received in Islam that never compare your life with people who are above you (in social & wealth status) but always compare your life with people who are below you, so you may remain grateful to God (Allah).
We should never compare our life with other people, esp. wealthy people, because as soon as we start comparing our lives, we start losing our inner peace & gratitude, & become desperate to keep up with the joneses.

"Jupiter Ascending" quote
Time is definitely the most precious commodity in the universe. As the famous idiom goes, "time and tide stops for no man," & everyone is also equal before it. Time doesn't discriminate among people based on financial, racial, linguistic, ethnicity, or geographic factors. Everyone is competing with another for nothing else, but essentially, for more time; time to add to their lives. Since, everyone wants more time than the next guy & no one can have more time regardless of how beautiful or rich or talented or influential connections he / she has, it becomes the most precious item in the whole universe.

Criminal Minds, S1E17 quote
now, what if the party which injures (murderer) is a government official / diplomat / a government administration / any powerful figure (police force) & the murder itself happens to take place in a foreign place where thousands unnecessarily died [Japan, China, Vietnam, Afghanistan, Yemen, Colombia, India, Iraq, Syria, Ukraine (Crimea), Rwanda, Bosnia, Brazil, Chile, Nicaragua, Congo, Sudan, Canada, US etc.]. Where's the atonement for all those unnecessary deaths?
