A great quote from Carl Jung. People who have internal issues (abused in the past, mentally unhealthy etc.) are more inclined to hurt others than, rather, mentally healthy people. Some of the examples are US soldiers keeping guard in Gitmo prison (there are narratives from soldiers who couldn't torture those detainees because they were apparently mentally healthy, but some really enjoy it). Then, there is a certain occupying force in the Middle East (i.e. Holy Land), who were tortured (at least, their predecessors) in Europe.
